Afghan protest over NATO attack leads to violence
After a NATO attack this past Tuesday, protesters gathered near a German provincial reconstruction team office building in the North of Kabul. The protests ended with violence from the protesters and the police. Twelve were left dead and 83 wounded.

A blast in one of the mines in Northern Mexico occurred early Tuesday morning trapping 14 people. Rescuers were unable to enter the mine due to dangerous chemicals released during the explosion. So far five bodies have been recovered.
Natural gas pipeline in Egypt explodes
This past week a pipeline carrying natural gas from Egypt to Israel and Jordan exploded. Officials say that they have to determine a solution quickly as the pipeline will only last for a couple more days.
