"How to Embed a YouTube Video"

"Raphael's Amazing Film Documentary About Shots"

1. Who is eligible to contribute to this site?

Anyone 18 and younger, anywhere in the world. If you're interested in producing quality journalism about local issues with global relevance, contact us and we'll get right back to you with next steps. We will need to know your name, the name of your school, and a teacher or mentor who will work with you.

2. Can I submit videos?

Absolutely. Just upload your videos to YouTube or some other video sharing site and copy the embed code into the submission box.

3. Do you have an ideological viewpoint?

No. We are a platform for students worldwide to tell stories about their experiences, their communities, their world. We won't shy away from controversial subjects, and encourage readers to weigh in with comments whenever they like. We ask that contributions be civil, constructive, fair, and well-researched. Let's get the conversations going!

4. Am I giving up the rights to my work by publishing it here?

No. You own the work you create, period.

5. Will someone else edit my work after I submit it?

We will work with you on draft revisions when necessary, and will make light edits for spelling and style as appropriate.

6. Will I be paid for my work?

No. We are an all-volunteer site. But if you're interested in money and prizes, you should check out our contest.

"The Student News Action Network is just the type of initiative to which schools of the future will gravitate. It represents the best of current strategies to engage students in their schooling (project-based learning that addresses real-world, global problems and events), and at the same time demands the most polished and sophisticated 'demonstrations of learning' via 'publish-worthy' work from student reporters covering the world's news."
